NEU Annual Conference is always held during the Easter holidays.
This year conference will be held at the Harrogate Convention Centre from Wednesday 31st of March to Friday 2nd of April 2027.
We will travel to Harrogate on Tuesday 30th of March, as there will be regional receptions and some other events taking place that evening.
All accommodation is booked, and other expenses (including travel) are covered (within HMRC rules).

We are allowed to take 21 delegates to Annual Conference in 2027, and at least 50% of the delegation should be women members (we have exceeded that).
All delegates can vote on motions which decide the policy and actions of the NEU. If a vote is close, a digital vote is held, in that case delegates (other retired delegates) get a vote equivalent to their share of the members in Staffordshire (5798 members at the start of the 2026-7 school year).
We can also take additional members as “observers” – who can watch debates, attend CPD, etc – but cannot vote on motions.
Our conference delegation will be voted on during the first spring term General Meeting on Weds 20th January 2027 – as the details need to be submitted by 27th January 2027.
