NEU – Workplace Reps Training – Foundation

As the NEU Representative, you are members’ first point of contact with the Union. This essential course supports you in your role, provides practical guidance and support for you and it is a key learning tool. It is developed specifically to reflect the changing educational landscape in which you will be operating as the workplace rep.
The course aims to:
- Extend your knowledge and understanding of the Union and where you fit in
- Develop your skills and confidence to carry out your role effectively
- Develop your skills in supporting and representing members individually and collectively
- Extend your knowledge of pay, employment law and terms and conditions
- Equip you with strategies to recruit and retain members
- Build your confidence in your relationship with management
- Explore current issues and campaigns
Who should attend: NEU Representatives new to the role and those who have not previously attended training.
The course will run over 3 separate days and delegates will be required to attend all sessions to receive accreditation.
The other days are 3/2/27 and 4/3/27
As an NEU workplace rep you are entitled to paid time off to participate in the course.
