NEU Reps & Officers: Redundancy, Restructure and Resistance Training

This one-day course will take you through the steps of the redundancy process and legal time frames.

We’ll relate redundancy/restructure in schools to the wider context of school and education cuts, examining what the impact can be on our members. Using a realistic scenario, participants will plan a campaign of resistance focussing on collective and individual representation of members. Whether you are currently facing a redundancy situation in your school or college, or you think you might in the future, you’ll come away equipped with a solid plan for supporting members and resisting attempts by the employer to cut jobs and education provision.

Who should attend: This course is for branch/district officers and reps who have completed Reps Foundation. Ideally, you will have also completed the Representing Members in the Workplace introduction to casework course.
