Every year, on the 28th of April, we have an opportunity to remember those who have died, been injured, or made unwell simply for doing their jobs, and to think about how we ensure safe, healthy workplaces for all.
Ten years ago – the East Staffordshire Trades Council dedicated a tree at the National Memorial Arboretum, in memory of working men and women who gave their lives in the workplace. It is here that union representatives from Staffordshire and the Midlands gather to remember those who we have lost, and those we still need to protect.

This year, Staffordshire NEU was represented by Rebecca Cann (District Secretary), Anne Drew (Retired Members Officer) and Steve Griffiths (Assistant District Secretary)
