As the second part of the summer term Weekender… activists and reps gathered to discuss:
- The current climate in education – discussing issues on a personal, workplace and national level
- How to organise and run effective meetings in your workplace
- “Lighting fires” – discussing where are the fights in our workplaces
- Open workshops with experienced reps/officers to discuss issues in primary or secondary/FE settings.
We also spent some time on planning for the Staffordshire NEU Reps training day – which will take place on the 26th of June. Letters have been sent to employers to request release of NEU reps to take part.
