It is developed specifically to reflect the changing educational landscape in which you will be operating as the workplace rep. \n\n\n\nThis course will enable you to: \n\n\n\n\nKnow your rights and the support available to you as a representative;\n\n\n\nExtend your knowledge and understanding of the Union and where you fit in;\n\n\n\nDevelop your skills and confidence to carry out your role effectively;\n\n\n\nEquip you with strategies to involve members and grow the Union;\n\n\n\nRepresent members individually and collectively;\n\n\n\nBuild your confidence in your relationship with school management;\n\n\n\nExplore current issues\, including the NEU’s vision for education;\n\n\n\nBuild campaigns in your workplace and your community;\n\n\n\n\nThe course will run for 3 days and delegates will be required to attend all 6 sessions to receive accreditation. \n\n\n\nAs an NEU workplace rep you are entitled to paid time off to participate in the course. \n\n\n\nTo register\, visit the NEU Training website.
