SUMMARY:NEU Health & Safety Reps Training Part 1 (Days 3 & 4)
DESCRIPTION:This course is for newly elected NEU health and safety representatives at workplace level as well as those H&S reps who want a refresher and Branch/District Officers and workplace reps who want to know more about what the H&S rep role involves. \n\n\n\nThis is an in person course\, run over 4 days – *Please note that you are required to attend all four days to complete the course* \n\n\n\nThe aims of this course are to help you to: \n\n\n\n\ndevelop a trade union approach to health and safety\n\n\n\nunderstand the framework of health and safety law\n\n\n\nidentify strategies for organising around health and safety in your workplace \n\n\n\ndevelop the skills and knowledge to carry out your role effectively\n\n\n\n\nTrade Union H&S Reps have a legal right to paid time off to attend training in their role. Any problems with this please contact your branch or Regional/Wales office. \n\n\n\nThe NEU funds the entire cost of this course\, including accommodation if required\, travel\, and contribution towards child/elder care if needed.
