SUMMARY:NEU Reps & Officers: Challenging Capability Training
DESCRIPTION:Why is the use of capability so prominent in teaching? \n\n\n\nIn this course we’ll explore the concept of capability as a method of management control and how we challenge this collectively. We’ll also build on the skills and principles we established on the 2-day Representing Members in the Workplace course\, to effectively represent members in capability casework. \n\n\n\nWho should attend: This course is for branch/district officers and reps who have completed Reps Foundation. Ideally\, you will have also completed the Representing Members in the Workplace introduction to casework course. \n\n\n\nAs an NEU workplace rep\, you are entitled to paid time off to participate in the course. For further advice on eligibility for this course\, on negotiating release from work\, or for assistance with access and expenses\, please contact the West Midlands Region office on west.midlands@neu.org.uk.
